In the Ranger’s Apprentice series by John Flanagan, Will is accepted to be trained by the most trained, powerful, and recognized by them all. He proves his rank as a true ranger when some sort of creatures appear and start terrorizing the town where people are just shocked to death in fear and when he and his mentor must save their kingdom of Araulun. Set out on his hero’s journey, Will must defeat some evil monsters and stop an old evil from rising to prove his worth as the Ranger’s Apprentice and save their kingdom.
